Winter warmer: Delicious chai tea recipe to warm up on cold days
Winter is a wonderful time of year to spend cozy evenings at home and enjoy a hot cup of tea. A popular choice for many is chai tea, which is perfect for cold winter days with its spicy flavors and warming effects. In this blog post we will introduce you to a simple chai tea recipe that you can easily prepare yourself at home.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of water
- 2 black tea bags
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 cups milk
- Honey or sugar as desired
Directions:
- Put the water in a pot and bring it to a boil.
- Add the tea bags, cinnamon stick, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Add the milk and heat again until the milk is hot.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let the tea steep for another 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the chai tea through a sieve into cups and sweeten with honey or sugar as desired.
